Dr Mike Hickey
Mike has been working in professional computing since 1982. He is an experienced analyst and system designer with particular expertise in database design for corporate environments. Management of his own project teams, or those supplied by other organisations, has been a common theme. Mike was Projects Director of software house Evolutionary Technology Limited (ETL) for 6 years where he introduced bespoke client-server solutions for companies such as ICL, Nationwide and Hewlett Packard in the early 1990’s. He has often taken on the mantle of project or technology champion at board level meetings, in order to identify for clients their business needs and to present the solutions available. Mike has also worked extensively as a consultant giving him experience in a range of different business environments including Banking, Insurance and Retail. He joined software house Information Systems Associates Ltd (ISA) in 2002 and became Head of Operations at the end of 2003. Whilst there he designed and ran the project team for the PM3, the flagship product of Bestoutcome Ltd, which he joined in 2008.
